Her Journey: grieving moms helping grieving moms

Turning grief into connection, healing, and hope. Established in 2021, we provide a safe, compassionate, and cost-free community for mothers walking the painful road of child loss. You are not alone.

Support programs for bereaved mothers

We offer thoughtful spaces where grieving mothers can be vulnerable, share their truth, and navigate their new normal alongside peers who truly understand.

Monthly peer meetings

Meet monthly during the last week of each month—either the last Saturday at 11:00 a.m. or the last Thursday at 7:00 p.m.—to share stories and mutual strength.

Guided art therapy

Experience monthly healing art sessions led by a licensed art therapist, offering a creative and gentle outlet for emotions beyond words the second Wednesday of every month at 6:30pm (Westside of Cleveland)

One-on-one peer support

Connect directly with fellow bereaved mothers for individualized comfort, everyday check-ins, and understanding without judgment.

A free and welcoming space for every mother

As a nonprofit funded by our Founder Darthena Culpepper  there is never any financial cost to participate. You can come as you are, whenever you feel ready to take that first step.

Navigating your new normal together with activities and outings

The loss of a child alters life completely. Its hard to get outside of your grief and enjoy life again.

In our peer group sessions, mothers talk through the deep hardships, emotional triggers, and quiet moments of grief. Guided by those who have walked the same path, you will find an environment where every memory and emotion is honored with absolute compassion.

Expressing grief through creative healing

Each year, we host our signature event, THE NEVER FORGOTTEN!—a special celebration honoring and highlighting the lives, memories, and lasting legacies of our children.

Now in its sixth year of planning and tradition following our fifth annual event in 2026, this gathering welcomes members and their family members to come together in remembrance, love, and unity.

After the celebration, we share a warm, home-cooked Southern meal, creating space for fellowship, comfort, and connection.
